IRO Standards of Conduct
The Organization is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and judgment-free environment for its members and guests. All members are expected to assist in the facilitation of this environment.
The Organization adheres to University Judiciary Committee Standards of Conduct.
Inappropriate or unprofessional behavior while representing the Organization in any official capacity is subject to review by the Executive Board of the Organization.
The Organization upholds a policy against discrimination of any kind, including but not limited to on the basis of: age, race, national or ethnic origin, citizenship status, political affiliation, veteran status, religion, ability, gender identity, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, marital status, or family medical or genetic information.
The Organization upholds a policy against harassment and assault of any kind, including but not limited to: physical, verbal, or mental harassment, offensive and derogatory remarks, stalking, inappropriate touching, intimidation gender-based violence, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, battery, or coercion, and attempted or completed rape.
Violations of these Standards of Conduct may be reported to the Executive Board of the Organization, and disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal from the Organization, may be taken. The Executive Board reserves the right to refer cases to the appropriate authorities.

Need to report a violation of the Standards of Conduct? File a report using our Incident Reporting Form. Reports are anonymous by default, and can be made regarding conduct you experienced or witnessed. Please don't ever feel hesitant to file a report, we want to ensure that everyone feels equally comfortable at any and all IRO events and with all members of the IRO community.
